This is the Chapelle du Rosaire de Vence or, as it is more commonly known, the Matisse chapel. The building is a small Catholic chapel located in the town of Vence. on the French Riviera designed by Henri Matisse. There is something uniquely beautiful and inherently spiritual about the interactions of light, color, and the delicate black on white drawings that adorn the walls. The white space feels light and has a calming effect upon the visitor.
